Rant on Wheels

I have not crashed -

Life here in the Mitten state got a little weird last year and I stopped blogging - too much on the plate and not a lot of time to sit and think of some witty or intelligent musings - so I quit, cold turkey.

I'm back - not that I have anything of particular interest to say, but to keep in touch with those of you who have been bugging me (thanks for the push) to get back to writing....

Things to rant about:

One Mr. Armstrong - can't seem to keep it in his pants - after having his wife go through all sorts of crap (hormone therapy etc) to become pregnant, he leaves her. Then takes up with an assortment of other women, to play house with Sheryl, moved on to others and has now gotten his current girlfriend pregnant - go figure........I thought those little sperms of his had dried up in chemo?

Speaking of people with Cancer......my friend who went through an ugly bout with Breast cancer last year seems to have come through it all very well - still she is challenged by a lack of energy due to the chemo, but things are starting to look up . . . .

or are they - one of my very dearest friends called a bit ago to tell me the "margins aren't clear" in the lumpectomy she just had - @(*$#@)$^@)$^!!!!! what the hell? Can I just ask that again - WHAT THE F---ING HELL? Maybe it's just my age, but it seems like people around me are getting sick - what's going on?

So for the New Year's resolutions the top priority is getting the boobs smashed - and all of you out there - please do the same - and for the guys - you know what to do as well......

And another thing - shout the mouth and get some exercise (as I look into the mirror this is more for me than you). It's now been almost three years since my surgery - no excuses (except that my trainer finally gave out this past weekend - perhaps I have been working out a little bit). It's quite disconcerting when you are trying to concentrate on the death-march intervals (you know the kind when you can't do math in your head) and the trainer was making the sounds from hell - cur-pluNK cur-pluNK cur-pLUNK with every revolution of the little tiny flywheel in back (do you realize how many times that thing goes round per minute?). Now a shiny lime-green 2009 Kurt Kinetic trainer is on it's way to my house - let's hope it holds up better than the CycleOps Fluid Pro.

For right now, I get to ride the rollers - I can only do one stupid roller trick at the moment - riding no hands - I hope to graduate to single leg pedaling with no hands. "look ma, no hands - CRASH".

It's off to the dungeon for a workout - got to get ready for my trip to CA in late February -

ciao
